Frequently Asked & Question

Yes, 100%! We run this trip for solo climbers every season. You will have a porter-guide during the EBC trek part and your own private 1:1 climbing Sherpa from Ama Dablam Base Camp all the way to the summit. No need to wait for a group.

Yes. You should have already climbed at least one 6,000 m+ trekking peak (Island Peak, Mera, Lobuche, etc.) with crampons and ice axe, or have solid multi-day alpine rock/ice experience. Ama Dablam has exposed rock sections (up to 5.8/5.9) and steep ice at the Dablam/Mushroom Ridge — it is a serious technical climb, not a trekking peak.

In the last 5 seasons (2019–2024, excluding 2020), our success rate on Ama Dablam has been 82% for climbers who reached Base Camp fit and ready. Good weather and proper acclimatisation from the EBC trek help a lot.

Yes! We offer the same itinerary up to Day 16 (after returning from Gorakshep/EBC/Kala Patthar) as a 16–18 day Everest Base Camp + Ama Dablam Base Camp trek for only USD 2,200–2,400. Many clients choose this shorter version.

Recommended cash budget (USD): – Tips & thank-you bonus: 500–600 – Personal drinks, showers, Wi-Fi, souvenirs: 200–300 – Emergency/Lukla delay helicopter buffer: 400–500 Total ≈ USD 1,100–1,400 in Nepali rupees is safe and comfortable.
