Frequently Asked & Question

Limi Valley lies in a restricted area of Humla, so a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) is mandatory and can only be arranged through a registered Nepali trekking agency. Independent trekking is not permitted, and the minimum group size is 2 persons. We handle all permit applications for you.

The best seasons are spring (April-May) for blooming landscapes and comfortable temperatures, and autumn (September-November) for clear skies and reliable weather. Due to its rain-shadow location, monsoon treks are possible, but spring and autumn remain the most popular choices.

This is a strenuous trek involving 5-8 hour walking days, high passes up to 4,990m, and remote off-trail sections. Previous high-altitude trekking experience and strong physical fitness are highly recommended. Our itinerary includes proper acclimatization days to reduce risks.

Flights from Nepalgunj to Simikot are scenic but weather-dependent. They operate most reliably in spring and autumn. Delays or cancellations can happen, especially during monsoon or winter, so we always build buffer days into the itinerary.

Yes, the Limi Valley section is a fully supported camping trek with no teahouses available in the core valley. We provide quality tents, mattresses, dining/toilet tents, and a professional cook who prepares fresh, hygienic meals (vegetarian and non-vegetarian options available) throughout the journey.
